the system underneath is model 2002 serial 70-009.

one of the first systems built in 1970 series.

upper matrix has one row with sliders with 10 positions and position 11 is off.

later models have wooden sides attached to the side panels while the panels from the casing above and underneath are metal plates. also these models have double matrixes above and underneath the modules counting from 1-20 while the middle of the row means off.

the system above is model 75-023.

elka synthex prototype

this is the elka synthex prototype made by mario maggi for a very famous italian composer gianni mazza. a lot of his work was for italian RAI.

as you can see there is no elka logo on this synthex. it does not have any holes on the sides for the leg attachments and no midi or even the computer interface the early ones had. also the eproms are labeled 25-8-82. i used to own another synthex and this one sounds superior to the other one i had. the filter is amazing.
